Licence, KYC and compliance
Foreign currency can only be sold in India by entities authorised by the Reserve Bank of India. Here is how we work within those rules.
Our licensed partner
Every sale and purchase is booked by Partner AD Category-II (placeholder), licence number FE.DLI.XXXX/2026.
An Authorised Dealer Category-II (AD Category-II) is permitted by the RBI to buy and sell foreign currency notes for travel and related purposes.
KYC
PAN, passport and travel documents are checked for each traveller before notes are handed over. Sell-backs above USD 200 equivalent also require KYC.
Limits
Cash notes are limited to USD 3,000 equivalent per traveller per trip, with exceptions for some destinations. Cash payment is limited per trip; larger amounts must come from the buyer’s own bank account.
Records
Transaction and KYC records are kept for 5 years, as compliance requires.
