Understanding your forex quote, line by line

Mid-market reference, customer rate, margin, GST, TCS and delivery fee: what every line on an InvitationFX quote means.

Last updated

Mid-market reference

The midpoint of the market. We show it so you can see how far your rate is from the market. It is not the rate you are charged.

Customer rate and margin

Our licensed partner’s cost plus our margin gives the customer rate per unit. The margin is shown as a separate line in rupees, never hidden inside the rate.

Currency base

The note amount multiplied by the customer rate. This is what the notes themselves cost you.

Fees and taxes

A delivery fee if you choose doorstep delivery, GST on the slab value, and TCS if your yearly LRS use goes above the threshold.

Locking and expiry

A quote is indicative until you lock it. A locked quote stays valid for 5 minutes and shows a countdown. If it expires before you submit, refresh it; the new total may differ.
