Questions & answers
Buying currency
Which currencies can I buy?
US dollar, euro, British pound, UAE dirham, Singapore dollar and Thai baht notes. More currencies will be added later.
How do I place an order?
Check your pincode, choose currency and amount, add traveller details and documents, choose delivery or pickup, review the quote line by line, lock it, then pay from your own bank or UPI account.
Is there a minimum order?
Orders must be in amounts that can be made with real notes, so the smallest note of each currency sets the step. The quote calculator rounds to a valid amount.
How much can I buy for one trip?
Each traveller has a cash allowance per trip, expressed in US dollar equivalent. Notes bought elsewhere for the same trip count toward it. Some destinations have different limits.
Can I buy for my family?
Yes. Add each traveller separately with their own passport and PAN. Each person’s allowance is checked separately.
Can I choose the notes I get?
You can request a preferred mix. The final mix depends on stock on the day, and stock is confirmed before fulfilment.
Rates and pricing
What is the mid-market rate?
The midpoint between the buy and sell prices on the market. We show it as a reference point; it is not the rate you pay.
How is my rate made up?
Our licensed partner’s cost plus our margin gives your customer rate. GST, TCS and any delivery fee are shown as separate lines.
When is my rate fixed?
Only when you lock your quote at the review step. A locked quote is valid for a few minutes; if it expires, refresh it, and the new price may be different.
Why can ordering be paused?
Rates are entered by hand. If a rate has not been refreshed for a while, ordering for that currency pauses until it is updated, so you never pay an outdated price.
Are weekend rates different?
Weekend margins can differ from weekday ones. The quote always shows the margin that applies.
Delivery and pickup
Which areas do you serve?
Delhi pincodes starting with 110. Some are delivery and pickup, others pickup only. Enter your pincode to check.
Can I get same-day delivery?
Possibly, if documents are approved and payment is confirmed before the daily cut-off for your pincode. Submitting an order alone does not guarantee same-day service.
How far ahead can I order?
You can pick a fulfilment date up to the configured number of days ahead of travel.
Who can receive the delivery?
The person placing the order should receive it and may be asked for identification at handover.
Where do I pick up?
At our Connaught Place counter during the published hours and pickup slots.
Documents
What documents are needed?
PAN, an Indian passport, and an air ticket for each traveller. Upload a visa where the destination requires one, or state your exemption.
Are my documents approved automatically?
No. Our team reviews every document by hand and asks for a replacement if a scan is unclear.
Is my data safe?
Documents are stored privately and opened through short-lived links by authorised reviewers. PAN and passport numbers are encrypted.
Why must names match PAN?
Payments must come from an account in the buyer’s name, and the name on PAN is used for that check.
Payment
How do I pay?
By bank transfer or UPI from your own account, using the details shown at checkout. Cash is allowed up to a configured limit per trip.
Is entering a payment reference enough?
No. A team member matches the reference with the money received and confirms by hand before fulfilment.
Can I cancel?
Buy orders can be cancelled before dispatch. If payment was already confirmed, the refund is handled by hand by our team.
Taxes
Why is GST charged?
GST applies to the currency exchange service, worked out on a slab value rather than the full amount. It is shown separately from our margin.
What is TCS?
Tax collected at source applies to foreign exchange spending under LRS above a yearly threshold. You declare your earlier LRS use, and TCS is worked out on any amount above the threshold.
Can I claim TCS back?
TCS is credited against your income tax. Keep your order records, and ask your tax adviser how it applies to you.
Sell-back
Can I sell leftover notes?
Yes. Request a sell-back online to see an indicative payout, then bring or hand over the notes.
Why can the payout change?
Notes are counted and checked. Damaged or counterfeit notes are recorded and deducted before the accepted amount is priced.
How is the payout made?
To your own bank account or UPI in your name. The payout reference is confirmed by hand.
